But you can't buy a wheel better designed to do most jobs, and combined in such a simple, compact form.

On a Millacron you can throw 20kg [40 odd lbs] or more of clay, approximately what it weighs. Thus you have a wheel which can handle pots larger than many kilns, but also can be easily picked up and transported in a car boot. Naturally, Millacrons are designed to be picked up by the sink.

Millacrons can be used with or without the seat, making it one of the most compact wheels ever made. We recommend buying with the seat because it is designed as the perfect sitting platform. It is properly upholstered and has four horizontal adjustment settings. The seat attaches rigidly to the body with two thumb screws so can be fitted or removed in under a minute!

Powered by a 250 watt motor the speed control system is Potters Mates own design of infinitely variable friction drive. Directly controlled by a combined foot pedal and handle, this sensitive system can be fined tuned by a simple adjustment to stay at at any speed.

Although the wheel is low it is that critical amount higher than oriental wheels which are notorious for causing backache.

Operation of the pedal or hand lever first automatically switches on the motor, then engages drive at lowest speed smoothly increasing to the maximum of 330rpm. Release of the pedal, or return of the lever smoothly stops the wheel and switches off the motor.

Lifts off by direct upwards pull. Batts up to 37cm [14¾] can fit in sink.

Body

Highly finished fibreglass body and sink pigmented in wet terracotta colour.

Sink

Hard scratch resistant not distorted by heat. Raised from the body so that it

is impossible to flood top bearing. Sink has a drain, with plug at front, plus

drain bucket. Sink can be made removable to order.

Maintenance

None required except periodic removal of the Wheelhead and re greasing.
