Slabrollers Roderveld Range

For some years now Roderveld have successfully marked a pair of Slabrollers the Jumbo

and the Junior.

These have proved themselves in industry, colleges and schools, as well as among

professional and hobby ceramicists

The ease with which even a tough piece of clay of clay can be rolled out into a slab has

to be experienced.

This is due to their ingenious design. The roller moves along the table with a geared action

unlike may other Slabrollers where the roller is stationary and the clay is expected to travel

along the table.

The roller is also of an extra large diameter which apart from taking a large amount of

effort out of the job also helps prevent the clay from cracking, this can occur not only

during rolling but can appear at a later stage, during drying or firing, this is of course most disappointing and a method reducing cracking is to be welcomed.

Due to the success of these models we are proud to introduce a larger version "The Giant"

this comes complete with legs and shelf, its ideal for colleges or industrial use.

The junior model is ideal for the smaller studio or class, this is used on a work bench and

can be easily stored when not in use. The rubber pads hold the unit still during use and the same rolling system is used as on the larger models.

The Jumbo is favourite with professional potters that specialize in hand building as well as

ceramic departments at art colleges.
